Hummi the hummingbird in flight

01 · What stays here

Information kept on your iPhone

HummiHops stores completed stages, best normal and practice scores, medals, flower counts, your last stage, and your music, sound-effects, haptics, motion, practice, first-flight-guide and optional analytics preferences in the app’s local storage.

The save also keeps a limited set of recent run identifiers to avoid recording the same result twice. They distinguish flights; they are not account or device identifiers. A visitor reward may contribute to your locally stored best stage score, but the app does not separately store which visitor route produced it.

02 · Only if you choose

Optional play insights

A new player sees a one-time choice to share or not share play insights. No play events are sent until the player chooses to share; the choice can be changed in Settings. Existing players keep their earlier choice after updating the app. When sharing is on, HummiHops sends limited play events to a third-party analytics service in the United States so we can improve the game. The events record destinations and stages opened, briefings viewed, and flights started, ended or left. Flight events include the stage, normal or practice mode, whether you have completed it before, completion or broad failure type, active flight seconds, progress reached in 10% steps, flowers collected and available, best flower multiplier, feeder and shield activations, visitor bonus points and, on completion, medals. We use these to compare stage popularity, difficulty, rewards and replay.

Each event includes a random identifier scoped to this app installation, an event time, and basic app version, iOS and device information. The service infers approximate city and country from the network IP address when opted-in events are sent. We do not request iPhone Location access. We do not send raw scores, save files, contacts, email addresses, precise location, or individual flap/touch recordings. We do not enable ads, automatic event capture or session replay. The app’s music and bird calls are bundled and play locally.

Turning the setting off stops new play events, but does not automatically erase events already received. The analytics service currently offers up to two years of event history on this project’s plan; that is not a promise that all copies disappear automatically at two years. To request access or deletion, copy the deletion request codes from the app’s Local data & privacy screen and email them to [email protected]. The codes remain available after you turn sharing off; there may be more than one if you opted in again. We use them only to locate the relevant events and handle your request.

03 · Protecting your progress

Backups and recovery

Your device’s backup settings may include HummiHops files in a system backup. HummiHops does not control how long a device backup is retained.

If an active save cannot be read, the app asks before recovery and makes a separate local copy of the original before replacing it. That recovery copy stays in the app’s local storage. Using Reset local progress does not erase protected recovery copies.

04 · Only when you choose

Optional diagnostic copy

If you select Copy diagnostic details on the Help screen, HummiHops puts its app/build version, save-format version, storage state and current flight mode on the iOS clipboard. It does not include scores, stage records, the save file or a device identifier. Copying does not send anything to the developer.

If you choose to paste those details into an email, the message and anything else you include are handled as described in the support-email section below. Please review what you share and do not send a save or recovery copy unless we have agreed on a safe process first.

05 · Visiting and writing to us

Website and support email

This static website has no account, contact form or advertising. Cloudflare hosts the site and may process your IP address and request information to deliver and protect it. Cloudflare’s privacy policy describes its handling of that information. Visiting this website does not send your in-app flight progress to the play-insights service.

With your separate website choice, we use Google Analytics to understand visits to the HummiHops website. Its tag does not load until you select Share website insights. After that choice, Google may receive the pages viewed, page titles, the referring site, scrolls to the bottom of a page, clicks to other websites, browser and device information, and an approximate city and country inferred from your internet connection. The tag can store first-party analytics cookies, such as _ga, in your browser. We do not enable advertising signals or use this website choice to identify your in-app flights. Our site does not request precise location.

Your choice is stored in this browser. Choose Website privacy choices in the footer to change it; turning sharing off stops future website analytics requests from this browser but cannot undo information Google already received. You may also clear this site’s browser storage. For an access or deletion request, email [email protected]. Website analytics is separate from the optional in-app Share play insights setting.

If you email [email protected], we receive your email address, message and anything you choose to include. We use it only to answer and resolve your request. We delete the message from our active mailbox within 90 days after the request is resolved. Email providers may process and retain copies under their own policies. HummiHops never sends a support email automatically.

06 · Your controls

Your choices and deletion

  • Change Music, Sound Effects, Gentle haptics, reduced decorative motion, practice and Share play insights in Settings. Sharing is optional; declining changes no game feature or price.
  • Use Website privacy choices in this site’s footer to turn optional website analytics on or off separately.
  • Reset local progress asks for confirmation and clears active records and unlocks while keeping preferences, including your play-insights choice. The deletion request codes are retained so you can ask us to delete earlier events.
  • Reset does not delete protected-save recovery copies or previously sent play events. The app has no separate in-app control to remove recovery copies.
  • The app has no developer-operated account or cloud progress. iOS manages device backups separately from the app’s Reset action.

For help with a recovery copy, play-insights access or deletion, or information you sent to support, email [email protected].
